A bridge to a healthy tomorrow

A thoughtful step toward healing, growth, & hope.

I'm happy you're here.

I have been in private psychological practice for more than 40 years, helping individuals, couples, and families with anxiety and depression, grief and abuse, life transitions, aging, illness, and end-of-life concerns. I also work with relationship challenges, family difficulties, and concerns involving intimacy, addiction, and emotional connection. For those seeking a therapist with a spiritual perspective, I also offer counseling related to faith and values.

I use a broad range of training and therapeutic approaches to support clients toward growth, healing, and meaningful personal change. I also have extensive experience assisting individuals facing serious health issues, terminal illness, and chronic pain.

I think you will find my approach to be direct, warm, insightful, and accepting. My goal is to help you discover realistic solutions to the complexities of your life and relationships.

Areas of Focus

Compassionate support grounded in experience, insight, & practical care.
Coping with Aging, Illness, & Death

Coping with Aging, Illness, & Death

Aging, serious illness, chronic pain, and end-of-life concerns can bring fear, grief, uncertainty, and major life adjustments. Counseling can help you process these challenges with honesty and support, while finding ways to cope with loss, changing health, caregiving stress, and difficult emotional transitions. This work can also help individuals and families face these seasons of life with greater understanding, peace, and resilience.
Couples, Marriage & Family Counseling

Couples, Marriage & Family Counseling

Everyday stress, resentment, infidelity, intimacy issues, lack of trust, miscommunication, divorce, parenting conflict, sibling tension, substance abuse, and mental health struggles can place serious strain on marriages, couples, and family life. Counseling can help when a relationship feels stuck, when families are going through a loss or transition, or when conflict affecting one person begins to impact the whole family. The goal is to improve communication, deepen understanding, reduce conflict, and help each person feel heard while working toward healthier, more stable relationships.
Depression & Anxiety

Depression & Anxiety

Depression and anxiety can affect emotional well-being, physical health, concentration, sleep, relationships, and daily functioning. They may be connected to trauma, stress, life circumstances, or other underlying struggles, and can sometimes lead to unhealthy coping patterns such as isolation, overeating, or alcohol and drug use. Counseling can help identify what is contributing to these feelings and provide support, insight, and practical tools for healing, stability, and healthier ways of coping.
Grief & Abuse Counseling

Grief & Abuse Counseling

Grief can follow many kinds of loss, including death, divorce, trauma, illness, or major life change. Abuse and family dysfunction can also leave lasting emotional pain, confusion, fear, and difficulty trusting or feeling safe. Everyone responds differently to loss and trauma, and counseling can provide a safe place to process intense emotions, strengthen coping, and begin healing from grief, codependency, and the effects of physical, substance-related, or sexual abuse.
Christian Counseling/Faith & Values

Christian Counseling/Faith & Values

For those who want it, counseling can also include thoughtful attention to faith, spiritual questions, and personal values. This can be helpful for individuals seeking guidance that respects their Christian background while also addressing emotional, relational, and life concerns with care and insight.
